Presenting - Kingston Road - a Revitalizing Business Community and an Integral Part of the Beach

With Gene Domagala during a recent historic walk me to the Victoria Park Avenue and Kingston local Scotia Bank took office a few historic photos show me the neighborhood. 1. Tell us a little about yourself. What is the connection to the Beach? Kingston Road with the business community is your role?

I since April of 2005 Scotiabank branch manager in Kingston and Bingham Branch has been, and I live in the past 18 years, the beach is a family. Often I'm in the middle on the weekends, shopping, boardwalk, walking on, family visits, etc. I have been since November of 2005 Kingston Road with the business community involved. I go to their meetings, help organize events and events including its branch.

2. Kingston Road, the business community's verdict? In what areas does it cover? How is the organization money?

KRBC's mandate in organizing events to attract people in the area is to promote business. Our business members of the Avenue between Kingston Road almost to term with the Fallingbrook. Warden Road residents from the main roads, streets and queen for Gerrard period. Kingston Road business community itself is funded through the collection of our members.

3. We Kingston Road area, its demographics, its residential architecture and other unique features give some general information about. Whether a particular neighborhood is it?

My comments / experience, this area appears to be made of many young families and many families / seniors that have lived for many years in the field. I have worked in other areas than the region a very strong sense of community. For many home based business so they live and work here every day instead of coming out of the area to start.

4. There is new real estate development and the area has a lot to do again is alive. Please comment on it.

I believe that because of this are going on in homes and condos for sale, while young families are moving into the area has many senior citizens. In addition, industrial locations have now become some of the new housing developments that are bringing in more people.

5. Kingston Road with traders and what kind of services can be found?

Kingston Road Business Community boutique gift shops, pet care and accessories, unique / trendy furniture and decor, spa salon /, flower shops, book stores, crafts, clothing stores a wide range of features, accessories, glass , game music store, health food, art galleries / stores, etc.

6. What kind of restaurants, bakeries and cafes are located along Kingston Road? Which places have outdoor patios?

We have a variety of hospitality establishments: bar and grills, pubs, a Cajun restaurant, a Hungarian restaurant, many pizza and pasta shops, coffee and bakery stores, the sandwiches, soups and other hot foods, baked goods to sell, etc. Three of our small coffee shops and bakeries outdoor seating, a pub and an outdoor patio also has a bar and grill.

7. We special events and festivals held throughout the year with the Kingston Road are about to tell me something.

We (/ late September to early October) the Spring Festival (usually the 1st Saturday in June) and a Fall Festival. We host these festivals in conjunction with 55 community centers and many children's activities, live bands and entertainment are the other family. Many traders store specials and / or rush to offer free food.

This past year, Community Centre 55 Kingston Road, with the first annual Christmas parade held which was attended by the community well. Lions Club, Kingston Road business community, local schools and leaders were included on the parade committee.

8. Community, nonprofit and service organizations are active in the Kingston Road area, what? What about places of worship?

We non-profit organizations in the community here has a wide variety of work: 55 Community Center, Lions Club, the Pegasus Community Project, all schools, Kingston Road United Church, St. John Catholic Church as well as the YMCA.

9. Sports and recreation facilities are available in your area?

Recreation is an important part of life in the middle. Our neighborhood games and Ted Reeve Arena, YMCA, Crazy Beach Club, Health Lation studio, and curves, including a fitness studio has a wide selection of recreational facilities.

10. Kingston Road, with new initiatives that we are going to tell you about.

The committee's first order of business is the name of the area. Our Spring Festival Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 will be held. Fall Festival Saturday, October 13th, 2007 and the Christmas parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, 2007 will be held.
